How to "Checkpoint" your Dead Cells Game Progress

"Dead Cells is a rogue-lite, metroidvania inspired, action-platformer. You'll explore a sprawling, ever-changing castle... assuming you’re able to fight your way past its keepers in 2D souls-lite combat. No checkpoints. Kill, die, learn, repeat."

In the game description, we can read if the developers don't give this game a checkpoint. If we die in this game, all progress will be reset and you must start over again.

Now I will give some trick to save your progress in this game.
1. Play the game.
2. Then, if you want to make a "checkpoint", press ESC, then return to main menu.
3. Open windows explorer, and open "C:\GOG Games\Dead Cells\save" (you don't need to exit the game).
4. Backup all files in this folder.
5. Return to the game, and make any progress.
6. If you die and want to restore your previous checkpoint, press ESC and return to main menu.
7. Restore/replace all save files in the "C:\GOG Games\Dead Cells\save" folder with your previous backup files (you don't need to exit the game).
8. Then continue your game, and the progress will back to your last save.

That's a simple trick to avoid from dying with the game progress.
